World Heritage Management Effectiveness Enhancing our Heritage Toolkit

ARC-WH initiated its regional training programme on ‘World Heritage Management effectiveness - The Implementation of the Enhancing our Heritage Toolkit (EoH)’, is composed of three workshops that target site managers from 12 World Heritage sites in the Arab Region. This series of workshops introduced a variety of tools which can be used to enhance the effectiveness of World Heritage site management by identifying gaps and factors that affect sites, and how they can be adequately addressed. The EoH Toolkit helps determine the main values and attributes of World Heritage sites by implementing a site-based monitoring system to achieve an enhanced management effectiveness. The multilingual training programme includes natural and mixed World Heritage sites, as well as several cultural landscapes from 11 countries in the Arab Region, such as the entire Maghreb, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Sudan, Yemen and Oman.
