Jerusalem: A city on earth but its roots are in heaven

The Arab Regional Centre held a public lecture about “Jerusalem: A city on earth but its roots are in heaven- An overview of its history, legacy, and architecture”. Dr Yusuf Natsheh, a well-known specialist in the history and architecture of Jerusalem and a lecturer at Al-Quds University, shed light on the location and topography of the city of Jerusalem by discussing the ancient city’s valleys, hills and mountains. During the lecture, Dr. Natsheh discussed the uniqueness of Jerusalem and its spiritual position in the three monotheistic religions, and it’s outstanding cultural heritage. The urban fabric of the Old City, and the challenges and efforts faced in the protection and preservation of Jerusalem were examined during the lecture.
