Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa visited the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage, he was welcomed by President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) and ARC-WH board Chairperson Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, SCE Chief Executive Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Dainah, ARC-WH Director Dr. Mounir Bouchnaki and officials.
Shaikh Abdullah toured the facilities of the centre and was briefed on its programmes and activites.The role of the centre in safeguarding Cultural and Natural Heritage was highlighted by the Center’s Director Dr.Mounir Boucnaki. Shaikh Abdullah praised the centre's contributions towards preserving cultural and natural heritage in the Arab countries, stressing that such projects are part of the kingdom's comprehensive development spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He underlined the need to further boost cooperation between SCE and ARC-WH to achieve common goals. He thanked Shaikha Mai as well as the centre's Director and staff for their pivotal role in protecting the Arab Human and natural heritage, wishing them every success.
On her part, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa paid tribute to Bahrain leadership for the care given to human heritage, stressing that ARC-WH is the dividend of the royal support and wise vision to consolidate Bahrain's standing on the regional and international map. She thanked Shaikh Abdullah for the visit, lauding the cooperation between SCE and ARC-WH.Back to News
